I think Reagan put the question plainly, but eloquently. Do we preserve this last, best hope on Earth? Because that exactly what it is; the first, last and only world power conceived in liberty.

There's nowhere left to run to. If freedom dies here, it marks the beginning of a new dark age for humanity.
