Random Quote To a chemist, nothing on earth is unclean. A writer must be as objective as a chemist; he must abandon the subjective line; he must know that dungheaps play a very respectable part in a landscape, and that evil passions are as inherent in life as good ones. -- Anton Chekov

The Attack of the Kitchen Sink |
The greatest invention of all time was digital video recording, because it allows me to skip past all of the smarmy political ads that spotlight some incident from long, long ago that had no impact on my life whatsoever in an effort to make me forget what some politician did in the last year that completely impacts my life. |

Those 30- and 60-second "smarmy political ads" on the boob toob exist because too few of those sucking on the glass teat (a) weren't paying attention to the lessons in their high school civics class and (b) won't pay attention to a candidate's 1-hour presentation of core beliefs and political goals. The price of not paying attention is painfully high. |
